Instead of tackling interoperability topics like data parsingTEFCA, or Carequality, we’d like to jump to a few topics that might be more immediately applicable to you and your organization. Why? Because people keep telling us, “We had no idea you do that.” We’d like to fix that!

What’s new at Zen? A lot…!

As Zen has continued to evolve our Gemini Integration as a Service Platform, we are innovating in a number of areas. Here are three valuable innovations that will bring immediate value to anyone running a Mirth technology stack. They can easily layer into your existing infrastructure, and, If you are using Zen Gemini – these options add even more value.

1. Staff overhead savings. You have an opportunity to tap into the staff overhead savings awaiting you through our robust channel (interface) alerting, monitoring and analysis solution. We call this solution Zen Insight™. It is a must have for healthcare organizations using Mirth® / Nextgen® Connect. Staff no longer have to hunt for interface issues. Zen Insight sends the emerging channel issues to your team automatically and efficiently.

2. Channel Manageability. Wonder what’s actually inside your Mirth Connect instances? Wish you could have a report on your desk tomorrow that shows you every instance, every interface, along with critical interface configuration and settings data? Zen’s MC  Inventory Report that accompanies Zen Insight is tremendously helpful just by itself. Most client’s request a monthly update to see how your interfaces are changing over time. This is a great way to periodically audit your interfaces against your organization’s best practices.

3. License Savings. More people today are using Mirth Connect in a variety of environments. But multiple instances in multiple places can drive up licensing costs. Zen’s SSL Extension offers a simple, low cost solution for the most important missing component of the open source version of Mirth Connect.

Speaking of Gemini – what is that exactly?

Gemini is Zen’s fully hosted, fully managed, enterprise class interoperability platform, that also provides our clients access to 3rd party software hosting and Tableau reporting services; all in one HITRUST certified location. Built from the ground up to support high volume healthcare data exchange use cases, Gemini also has built in security features not typically included in other solutions, such as two factor authentication and a special internal message encryption model.

If deploying 3rd party software, open source solutions such as Mirth Connect or CONNECT Gateway in Amazon, Google, or Azure Cloud is turning out to be more cost and work than you imagined – you should talk to us about Gemini.

What’s next? It’s up to you.

We exist to help you simplify interoperability. For us, it is more than a tagline, it is the sole reason we work hard every day. We want to help make your integration strategies a success.

Suggestion: How about talking with an interoperability engineer first?

We are ready to help you explore use-cases and solve data exchange challenges. But we think the best place to start is diving deeply into the complex problem(s) you need to solve. So we typically start discussions with our “Free15” – 15 minutes on a live call with a really smart, experienced interoperability engineer. Don’t worry – these folks have that rare ability to translate tech speak to real people speak. Click here to schedule a day and time that works for you.
