Zen Healthcare IT’s Gemini Platform receives HITRUST CSF r2 Certification

Zen Healthcare IT is incredibly proud to announce that our Gemini Integration-as-a-Service Platform and HIE 3rd Party hosting services are HITRUST CSF Risk-based, 2-year certified! This includes Gemini modules such as our Stargate IHE Gateway and Gravity FHIR Aggregator. While we already had excellent security protocols in place prior to starting our journey to certification, we still gained a lot by going through this process.

What exactly does it mean to be HITRUST CSF r2 certified?

The HITRUST CSF is a framework designed and created to streamline regulatory compliance for healthcare organizations through a common set of security controls mapped to the various standards to enable organizations to achieve and maintain compliance. It was one of the first security frameworks to incorporate aspects of HIPAA with more general security frameworks. As such – it’s become the gold standard for healthcare organizations seeking to provide proof that they are complying with HIPAA and other critical security best practices to secure protected data.

HITRUST CSF is the start of a journey, not the end

Many organizations may think that achieving HITRUST CSF certification is the end  of a long and challenging process.
