Ron Wilson, Director of Technical Services

ron-wilson-pic-img_1058 With over thirty years of Information Technology experience, Ron brings significant IT and software development skills to the Zen Team as Director of Technical Services. For the past six years, Ron has led development efforts for Claimtrak, a major Behavioral Healthcare EHR vendor. While at Claimtrak, Ron was significantly focused on Meaningful Use and healthcare interoperability leveraging Mirth® Connect and other interoperability tools.

Ron has designed, developed and implemented healthcare interfaces to a broad array of healthcare exchange initiatives including:  State or Regional HIE’s, Laboratories, state Medicaid systems, and Federal agencies.  His healthcare IT experience encompasses clinical, billing, EDI, scheduling, medication management / e-Prescribing, and reporting, for inpatient, outpatient, behavioral health and residential settings.

With his extensive work with healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7, X12, and CCD/CCDA (XML), and his work with legacy / nonstandard data formats, Ron is uniquely qualified to lead the Zen engineering team working on challenging healthcare interfacing projects.

In addition, Ron is proficient with a number of development languages including JAVA, JavaScript, C#, C++, T-SQL, ASP.Net, Cobol, VB.Net and Omnis Studio. Ron is also a certified ScrumMaster, an HL7 v2.7 Control Specialist and Mirth® Connect Certified.

Ron brings his passion for bringing creative solutions to healthcare interoperability problems, and his ability to mentor and guide technical team members – guiding them to the most optimized solution to meet Client requirements.  For Zen clients, his experience managing hundreds of interfaces makes him an invaluable partner as they strive to implement scalable approaches to healthcare interoperability.
