President
Bringing boundless of positive energy to everything she takes on, Marilee is passionate about leveraging technology to improve the lives of and health outcomes for patients. Marilee has 30+ years of experience in the healthcare information technology sector. She plays an active leadership role in the healthcare interoperability community, currently serving on the Carequality Advisory Board. This industry expertise is invaluable for Zen clients seeking to keep up with a complex set of interoperability requirements.
Ron Wilson
Vice President of Engineering
With over 25 years of experience in IT, Ron has extensive experience in leading development in healthcare IT. Prior to joining Zen, Ron led development at a Behavioral Health EHR company. There he was responsible for development efforts related to meaningful use, lab integrations, and supporting claims and other payer-specific data standards. Ron shares his extensive integration and IT systems knowledge with Zen team members and clients on a daily basis, accelerating their success in solving complex healthcare data interoperability problems.
Derek Wayland, CISSP
Vice President of IT & Security
CISSP certified, Derek brings a security first approach to his role as Vice President of IT & Security for Zen. He brings more than 15 years of IT & Security expertise, focusing on healthcare interoperability. Derek plays a key role in building and designing Zen’s modern scalable hosted solutions while achieving and maintaining Zen’s HITRUST CSF r2 certification for the Gemini Platform.

With over a decade of engineering and client services expertise, Jerome leads a dedicated team of healthcare interoperability engineers and interface developers. His expertise lies in bridging the gap between healthcare systems, ensuring seamless data exchange, and driving innovation in the field of medical data interoperability.
Brian Kirsanov
Manager, Client Solutions
Brian brings 13+ years of experience working with a broad spectrum of healthcare stakeholders seeking to solve healthcare data exchange challenges. As Solutions Manager, he seeks to assess and define best practice based solutions for healthcare interoperability. His special power is in understanding how to successfully apply those solutions to real world interoperability problems for Zen clients.
Michael Bedell
Operations Manager
With degrees from the University of Colorado Boulder in operations and information management, Michael has shared joint responsibility with the CEO for the company’s financial and operational performance. As one of Zen’s first employees, he is passionate about creating a culture that upholds Zen’s key principles, and active in developing the guidelines and policies that will continue to enable Zen’s success as a market-leading interoperability platform.
