Zen Healthcare IT announced that its National Network Gateway, Stargate now natively supports Individual Access Services (IAS) under TEFCA, including IAL2 identity vetting via ID.me and CLEAR.
This capability enables any consumer-facing digital health application to support the TEFCA-based Individual Access Services (IAS) use case, including the required IAL2 identity vetting, via Stargate’s API based interoperability workflows.
What This Means
Digital health apps enabling consumer access through TEFCA must meet strict IAL2 identity verification requirements. With Stargate’s native support for ID.me and CLEAR, digital health app developers can move forward with IAS with little additional development by relying on Zen’s proven interoperability infrastructure.
Zen’s Role
Through its TEFCA pathway with CommonWell, Zen helps guide organizations through IAS onboarding, national network validation, and testing.
Organizations with ready applications can often complete onboarding in 30 days or less.
Why This Matters
As consumer demand for health data access grows, IAS provides a secure way to enable that access across national networks.
By supporting IAL2 identity vetting via ID.me and CLEAR, Stargate allows digital health teams to focus on building patient-facing experiences while Zen manages the interoperability layer.
Bottom Line
Zen’s Stargate platform now supports IAS under TEFCA with IAL2 identity vetting via ID.me and CLEAR – start now and be IAS-enabled in as little as 30 days.
Not Sure Where You Stand?
Most of the health tech leaders we talk to aren’t starting from zero – they’re trying to figure out which of these shifts actually affects their roadmap, and how urgently.
That’s exactly what our Interop Workshops are for. No pitch, no pressure – just a quick conversation to help you sort signal from noise. We’ve been doing this work since before TEFCA had a name.
